Since 1968, there has been no better company to provide this adventure for you than Airboat USA. Rest assured, as an official Everglades National Park outfitter, we will not disappoint.
But don't take just our word for it. The Everglades National Park is an extraordinary national park established in 1947 by an act of Congress. Only the United States Congress can establish a national park and that comes only after meeting stringent criteria. To date there are only fifty-nine such national parks in the United States and one is adjacent to our property; the Everglades National Park.
The United States Congress has established that all national parks are created "to conserve the scenery and the natural and historic objects and wildlife therein and to provide for the enjoyment of the same in such manner and by such means as will leave them unimpaired for the enjoyment of future generations."
Criteria for the selection of national parks must consider the area's natural beauty, its unique geological features, its unusual ecosystems, and of course, recreational opportunities. Airboat USA delivers all of those to you and much more through one of Airboat USA's adventure tours.
The international community has also taken note of the remarkable Florida Everglades. In 1979, Everglades National Park earned the prestigious distinction of being designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site as wells as earning the honor as an International Biosphere Reserve, a wetland of international importance, and a specially protected areas under the Cartagena Treaty.
Airboat USA sits on this amazing 60 mile wide and 100 plus miles of what writer Marjory Stoneman Douglas popularized the term "River of Grass" to describe the sawgrass marshes, part of a complex system of interdependent ecosystems that include cypress swamps, the estuarine mangrove forests of the Ten Thousand Islands, tropical hardwood hammocks, pine rockland, and the marine environment of Florida Bay.
Let Airboat USA guide you through the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. Experience the Mangrove Ecosystem & Marine Estuary, home to 36 protected species, up close and personal. Who knows, you may actually see one of an endangered Florida Panthers, American Crocodiles, or a West Indian Manatee.
